Sleeping lazily on holidays! It helps you live longer

Browse By

In the past, many people had to wake up early and sleep late, which led to insufficient rest. When it’s a holiday, people want to rest and sleep all day long. Congratulations! There is clear research that says that making up for sleep during the holidays has a chance of being healthy and living as long as people who get enough sleep every day.

According to scientific research conducted by the สมัครสมาชิก UFABET วันนี้ รับเครดิตฟรีทุกวัน Stress Research Institute in Sweden, which followed the sleep and health habits of tens of thousands of Swedes over a period of more than 10 years, people who slept less than 5 hours a night during the work week had a 65% higher risk of premature death than people who slept an average of 6-7 hours a night.

On the other hand, if during the weekends you get 8 hours or more of sleep per night,

The premature death rate is no different from that of people who sleep normally.

Professor Torbirn Akerstedt and his team of researchers from the Institute for Stress Research at Stockholm University in Sweden published the results of their study in the Journal of Sleep Research. They said the data was based on a health survey of 38,000 Swedish people aged 65 and under, conducted in 1997 and followed up over the next 13 years.

This risk value is derived from other relevant factors, such as:

  • sex
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Smoking
  • Exercise
  • Including other lifestyle behaviors

It’s incredible, isn’t it? Making up for our weekend sleep can help compensate for the lack of rest we get during the workday. Those who often get less sleep need to find some time to rest. However, if possible, you should adjust your sleeping habits to be consistent every day, at least 6-8 hours per night.
