Leon Goretzka has reportedly decided to stay at Bayern Munich until the end of the season at least, with no plans to move in the transfer market early
next year. Goretzka’s future has been uncertain since the summer after facing competition for a midfield position and he barely got a chance to play at the start of the season.
However, injuries have put his chances back in Goretzka’s hands and he has shown that he can still play for the Bavarians.
According to ยูฟ่าเบท Sports, the 29-year-old has decided not to leave Bayern in the winter and will stay with the team until the end of the season.
The German is still motivated to play for Bayern and coach Vincent Kompany still values him highly. Goretzka has attracted interest from top clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli, but he is not thinking about moving at the moment.
The 29-year-old has fallen hard down the pecking under under first-year coach Vincent Kompany. Goretzka is finding playing time hard to come by, and a spot in the XI looks out of the question as Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlović, Konrad Laimer, and even newcomer João Palhinha all command higher priority in Bayern’s double pivot rotation this season.
He has made 13 appearances this season, mostly as a substitute, but he has started all five of the last games in all competitions.
